CHEYENNE, Wyo. – In news released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Cheyenne, we’ve learned that two local people have been sentenced since the first of the year. They are Zola Rae Killsontop of Ethete and Kristopher Candelaria of Lander.

Killsontop was sentenced to three years of probation for theft of public money. The 44-year-old was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of nearly $16,500. The sentence was handed down by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on Feb. 8. The case was investigated by the United States Postal Service.

Thirty-two-year-old Candelaria was sentenced in January to two years in prison for assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $750 and faces three years of supervised release. His sentence was handed down by Chief Federal District Court Judge William F. Downes. The case was investigated by the FBI.
