RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) – A former Rawlins police officer who was
found not guilty of sexual assault goes back to court in September
on separate charges of having a sexual relationship with a
15-year-old girl.
Forty-six-year-old Adam Lee Meacham is charged with third-degree
sexual assault, committing indecent or immoral acts, soliciting a
child to participate in illicit acts and furnishing alcohol to a
minor.
     He has denied wrongdoing.
Meacham was found not guilty on Monday on five counts of child
sexual abuse. Those allegations were separate from the case
scheduled for trial in September.
Meacham was a Rawlins police captain. He also served as a Carbon
County commissioner.
