RIVERTON, Wyo. – The elderly Riverton woman who died last week while driving her car north of Lander apparently had what the county coroner called a natural event.

Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan said preliminary results of an autopsy show that 77-year-old Beverly Williams suffered an aortic aneurism. It happened Thursday night near the intersection of Highways 287 and 26 near Diversion Dam.

The coroner’s office is still waiting for the toxicology report on 58-year-old Michael Friday. He died Friday morning of internal injuries suffered when he crashed into a parked car while speeding down East Lincoln in Riverton. He was pronounced dead at the Riverton hospital.
