YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) – Firefighters are making progress containing a blaze burning near the center of Yellowstone National Park.

The fire has burned about 520 acres and is now 72 percent contained. Fire managers say cooler temperatures, less wind and higher humidity Monday helped crews complete line around the main body of the fire.

Two 20-person crews will remain on the fire to finish mopping up. Helicopters will continue to help put out the fire from the air.

The fire was first seen July 18 from an airplane.
