JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) – Tourists and residents reaching the top of
the 10,450-foot peak at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski area came
upon a rather unusual scene recently.
Two cement mixers and a pump truck had made a harrowing journey
to the peak to pour cement just feet from the edge of a cliff.
A statewide public safety communications system designed to
coordinate among state, local and federal agencies was installing a
new communications structure.
It is exciting work for construction crews doing the work.
Truck driver Jason Blair told the Jackson Hole News & Guide that
the job is one of the what he calls the “raddest places” he’s
ever poured concrete.
The job was performed without incident.
