Douglas: The Wolverines season came to an end at the hands of the Douglas Bearcats Friday night 23-2. The Wolverines would get on the board early in the 1st quarter on a safety, tackling Dylan Klava in the end zone for 2 points, but that would be all the Wolverines would score on the night.

The Wolverines would have only one more opportunity early in the 1st quarter on a 4th and inches play from inside the Douglas 1o yd line, but fail to make it. After that Douglas would take over and march down the field to get a field goal to make it 3-2 at the end of 1 quarter of play.

The second quarter would see the Bearcats score on a Klava 2 yd run as the marched down the field mixing running plays and a few passes the score would be 10-2.

With just  :55 seconds left  in the second quarter on a long third down play Barker would roll out on a play action pass and hit a wide open Jammerman for a score and it was 17-2 at the half.

The second half saw both teams defense shut each other down for the most part, except Klava would bust open a 64 yd scamper for his second TD of the night to seal the game for Douglas making it 23-2, after missing the 2 point conversion try.

The Douglas Bearcats will now head to the State Finals against Buffalo Friday at 3pm.

Congratualtions goes out to the Wolverines this year on a very exciting season! To the staff, players and parents and all who were involved. Thanks for a Great Season! Looking forward to next year.
