(Cheyenne – AP) — A product sold as insense in Riverton and other communities in the state would be banned under a law to be considered in the next session of the Wyoming Legislature.
Apparently the product is a mixture of herbs and spices that has been sprayed with a synthetic compound chemically similar to THC, the psychoative ingredient in marijuana.
Sold under brand names such as Spice, K2 and Genie, the product is smoked by it’s users to ‘get high.’
Democratic State Senator Floyd Equibel of the Cheyenne tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle the products contain a ‘mind altering substance’ that affects anybody who uses them.
Riverton police warn the products are a concern and their sales are not actually restricted or governed under law.
Ten states have imposed bans on the sale, manufacture and possession of those products.
