Weekend Events

RIVERTON, Wyo. – ‘Tis the craft fair season – it seems — throughout the county.

Organizers of two of the weekend events stopped in this week to fill us in – the St. Margaret’s Craft Festival and Lander Holiday Art Fair.

ST. MARGARETS SALE

RIVERTON, Wyo. – We’ll start with St. Margaret’s Craft Festival. That’s on Saturday in the school gym located on East Park Avenue in Riverton. Doors open at 9 that morning, there’s no cost to get in and the coffee is served up free.

George Burns passed on the information and brought along crafter Lisa Charlton who described her work …..

If you want to stay for lunch, the Knights of Columbus group will be serving what they call, their “Famous Chili.”

Santa will also be there for holiday photos. And door prizes of items donated by the craters will be given away each hour, right up until doors close at 3.

ART FAIR

LANDER, Wyo. – Now, the art fair put on by the Lander Art Center is Sunday at the Noble Hotel on Main Street. That runs from 10 to 4. Art Center Director Dannine Donaho said 38 artists will be showing and selling a variety of hand-made creations ……

A $2 donation is being asked to get in to that show.

The organizers of both events were interviewed on Chit Chat. Excerpts are posted on the Chit Chat page.
