By News Director Leslie Stratmoen

RIVERTON, Wyo. – The slate of candidates for Riverton school superintendent has changed a bit overnight. Donald Kirkegaard has accepted a job in Sturgess, South Dakota, so has dropped out of the running. Current Superintendent Craig Beck broke the news this morning on KVOW’s Chit Chat show.

He said interviews will continue with candidates Terry Ebert and Diana Clapp. Clapp is known locally. She’s the superintendent of Fremont County’s School District 6 in Pavillion. Ebert is a superintendent of schools in Colorado.

Ebert’s being interviewed today and Clapp next Tuesday. Public forums have been set up for each – from 5:30 to 6:30 in the evenings on the day of their interviews – in the multi-purpose room of the Riverton Middle School.

District 25’s Principal Mary Jo Chouinard of Rendezvous Elementary is still in the running. She was interviewed yesterday.
