Riverton 3, Evanston 0

The Wolverines would get all the goals they’d need in the first half against the Red Devils to win the match Friday evening. The 3-0 shutout was led by goals from Jarrett Watson, and Kade Salisbury, and again by Watson who would tally another late in the first half for Riverton.

Saturday, at Riverton

Star Valley 2, Riverton 2, OT

On Saturday John Reddon would score first for the Wolverines in the 3oth minute of the first half, and that lead would hold up at halftime. The Braves would counter with a goal just ten minutes into the second half to tie things up. late in the game at the 66 min mark Star Valleys John Strang would get a PK over the outstretched Riverton goal keeper Logan Ridgeway to take the lead with just 14 mins left to play. The Wolverines fought back and Shayden Coulson beat the Braves goal keeper to tie the game at 2 in the  68 min. The teams would battle the rest of regulation and in the overtime to a stalemate and the game would go in the Ties column for both.

This is most likely the last time these two teams will play in Riverton, because the Star Valley team will move to class 3A next season. Kelly Walsh will move up to 4A next year to take their place in the conference.

Halftime: Riv 1-0.

Scoring: Riv, John Reddon, 30. SV, Cody Call, 49; John Strang, 66. Riv, Shayden Coulson, 68.
