RIVERTON, Wyo. — The Riverton Rendezvous balloon rally kicks off this weekend with a Riverfest Christian concert tonight at the City Park band shell in Riverton. Organizers expect the show to run from 6-10.

Then tomorrow morning, about a dozen balloons will launch from the soccer field at the community college on the west side of town, starting at about 6, for the media outing. The Friday Night Cruise of classic vehicles will parade down Main Street at about 6, then will park along Main for public viewing.

The full brigade of balloons will launch both Saturday and Sunday morning, weather permitting, at 6, again from the college field. A pancake breakfast is also offered at the launch field, along with tethered balloon rides.

The car show continues Saturday from 8 in the morning to about 4 in the afternoon on the college campus. Activities have also been planned for the Wind River Heritage Center on South Federal from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A balloon glow and fireworks are Saturday’s finale, starting at 8 at the launch field.
