LARAMIE, Wyo. The proposals have drawn sharp criticism from the Wyoming Press Association and others.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Legislation inspired by the Casey Anthony trial in Florida is on the docket today for Wyoming legislators meeting in Laramie. The measure would make it a crime for parents or guardians not to report a missing child. Anthony was found not guilty of murder in her 2-year-old daughter’s death. The case drew wide attention in part because Anthony did not report the girl’s disappearance for several weeks.
