RIVERTON, Wyo. – Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan says the preliminary autopsy results on George Wallowing Bull IV were inconclusive. He’ll now have to wait for the toxicology report to come back in three to four weeks before deciding the manner and cause of death.

The 24-year-old was found dead Tuesday night in the back seat of a minivan parked at a residence on the Wind River Reservation, off 17 Mile Road near Ethete. At this point, the coroner says he has no reason to suspect foul play, but had the body autopsied because the man was so young and not dealing with any apparent health issues.

RIVERTON, Wyo. — The local coroner’s office has identified the man found dead Tuesday night in a vehicle parked at a residence on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Fremont County.

Coroner Ed McAuslan

County Coroner Ed McAuslan said the dead man was 24-year-old George Wallowing Bull IV of Riverton.

The coroner said nothing about the death appears suspicious, but because the man was so young and not dealing with any apparent health issues, his body’s being autopsied today by a forensic pathologist in Loveland, Colo.

He was found in the back seat of a minivan parked off 17 Mile Road near Ethete. The coroner expects to know more later today after hearing from the pathologist.
