Rustlers Defeat Trappers for Big Conference Road Win

Powell, WY – The Central Wyoming College Men’s Basketball Team got a huge effort from their team for a huge road win. They defeated Northwest College on the Trappers home floor by the score of 76 to 71. The win brings the Rustlers record to 17 – 4 for the year and 6 – 3 and a half game out of 1st place in conference play.
The Rustlers were battled back to be down only 5 at half as the Trappers took and early 11 point 1st half lead. But the Rustlers grinded out and used a good defense to get up by 10 in the 2nd half and hang on for the 5 point win.

The Rustlers will now get ready and travel to Casper, WY to take on the Thunderbirds of Casper College this coming Saturday, February 4th at 7:30 pm. The game we the 2nd time these two teams will meet this year. The Rustlers won the 1st one by 12 at home, back on December 10th, 2011. Both teams are 6 – 3 in conference play. The Thunderbirds are coming off and 11 point road win at Western Wyoming Community College.
