Riverton: The San Francisco 49′ers shutout the Green Bay Packers for the second time this year, this time it was in the RJFL Championship game last night. The Niners defense came up with 5 turnovers last night against the Packers 4 fumble recoveries and an interception and scored two touchdowns in the 2nd quarter of play to beat the Packers by a score of 12-0.

Alek Phifer completed a 16 yard pass to Frankie Miller who made a spectacular over the shoulder catch in the end zone to give the Niners the lead 6-0 early in the 2nd quarter. The 2pt conversion attempt was shut down by the Packers defense.

Later in the second quarter a pitch out by the Packers hit the ground and was recovered by the Niners to set up another touchdown 5 plays later when Kyler Green would cross the goal line from 7 yards out and the score was 12-0 , again the 2 point conversion was stopped by the Packers defense.

The Niners would hold on to that lead through the entire second half and shut down the packers offense and win the RJFL Championship game and have an undefeated season.

Thank you for broadcasting the game. I have had a lot of postive feedback about it especially since parents were able to sit in their warm vehicles, watch the game, and get a play by play of it, on a cold night.
