City discusses Main Street lot, SLPP program

On Chit Chat, Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 – Riverton’s Mayor Ron Warpness and City Administrator Steven Weaver said the public meeting and discussion on what to do with the Main Street corner lot will be held during Tuesday night’s regular meeting. That starts at 7 at City Hall on North Federal Boulevard.

Also during the meeting, the city administrator will be recommending termination or modification of the SLPP program which is the Sewer Lateral Protection Program for which customers pay a fixed monthly fee to have the city pay for repairs or damage. He said the program does not pay for itself and is now $81,000 in the hole after several years of running in the red.
