Twins beat Dodgers 5-1 in Little League Action

Riverton: The Dodgers lost 5-1 in six innings on Monday, despite outhitting the Twins five to three.

Peyton Rees put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Dodgers. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Jereko Martinez recorded the win for the Twins. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out nine, walked one and surrendered five hits.

The Twins never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring two runs on a solo home run by Chase Garcia and a steal of home by Cole O’Neal.

The Twins posted one run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

The Dodgers scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Cody Frazier in the sixth inning.
