Conversion Charges

(Cheyenne) — A former executive director of the Eastern Shoshone Housing Authority appeared in federal court Monday for an arraignment on charges of the conversion of moneys from an Indian Tribal organization.
 
Joanne Lynn Seesequasis appeared with counsel and pleaded not guilty to an indictment accusing her of unlawfully claiming more than $45,000 in overtime pay between March of 2009 and March of 2010.
 
U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal set an August 19th trial date.
 
The case is being pursued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Inspector General.
