High Number of Mosquitos with West Nile

Submitted by rebecca on August 22, 2013 – 11:44 amOne Comment
(Riverton) – Fremont County Weed and Pest District Supervisor Lars Baker says a high number of the mosquitoes that are being trapped are testing positive for West Nile virus so people need to protect themselves.
Baker says in one night last week,  six thousand mosquitoes were trapped at a single location on the east edge of Riverton.
Riverton is spraying areas along the outskirts of town three times a week now in an effort to reduce the number of mosquitoes.
Most people who contract West Nile through mosquito bites don’t have any symptoms but the virus can lead to serious illness or even death in some cases.

Mosquitoes can be controlled using Greenbug for People. It is a safe, effective repellent that is made from natural ingredients. Using synthetic chemicals against mosquitoes (DEET, pyrethroids, picaridin) is not a solution because they are harmful to humans & losing effectiveness due to pesticide resistance. It is a vicious cycle of less effective yet more potent pesticides that are slowly poisoning us. Instead, use Greenbug for People. It works and it is safe.
