Wyoming Leads in Fracking Regulation
(Riverton) — The National Law Review says Wyoming has once again taken the lead in the regulation of hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking” as it is commonly referred to.
The National Law Review is a legal publication established in 1888.
It says baseline water well testing rules that were approved last November and go into effect March 1st will go a long way in establishing whether fracking is causing contamination.
The rules were adopted after complaints from Pavillion-area residents that their water wells have been contaminated by fracking.
