Riverton: The Lady Chiefs and the Chiefs won their Semi final games yesterday to qualify for State and play in the 2 A Regional Championship games this afternoon at Riverton high school.

The Lady Chiefs had to fight hard to hang on to a 42-40 Win over Kemmerer. Freshman Amryn Brown would be fouled with little time left on the clock and would hit the first of two free throws  to give the Lady Chiefs a two point lead. It was just one of 4 shots they made from the foul line of 24 attempts in the second half. On the in bounds pass with just 5 seconds left Brown would then make a steal to end the game  for Kemmerer.

They will now play Lovell at 2:30pm in the Championship Game

The Chiefs would take on Rocky Mountain in the Semi finals and come away with a 65-50 win. Trevor Williamson was dominate from inside the paint with 21 points in the first half going 10 of 13 from under the basket. Williamson ended up with 26 points and the Chiefs surged for 35 points in the second half to stop the Grizzlies.

They will play Big Piney in the Championship game today at 4:00pm

(The two teams split in the regular season this year, the only loss the Chiefs had.)
