Wet Nosed Wednesday Featured Pets

These local pets are looking for a loving place to call home!

From the Lander Pet Connection let us introduce Gertie the dog and Wallace the Cat!

Call Lander Pet Connection at 330-5220 or see our website for more information on this program designed to reduce the number of unwanted animals in our area.

First off, Gertie wants to be sure you know she does, in fact, have two deep brown eyes, but that they are next to impossible to photograph with her black spots around them!  Gertie and Agnes were found running loose in Lander city limits, picked up separately by folks concerned for their safety.  They were pretty timid at first but are doing great adjusting to life at LPC.  The girlies are learning to walk on leashes and have both mastered the “sit” command at meal time.  They love affection and attention and do well with the other dogs and all our visitors.  The vet thinks they are a St. Bernard mix and that they were born around September 15, 2013.  Gertie is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and her adoption fee is $85.

Wallace is a super sweet, gorgeous Siamese (with a surprisingly little meow!) whose owners are on shift work and he got too lonely with them gone for long stretches of time.  Wallace was born around May 15, 2013.  He loves to be pet and while a little taken aback by the feline welcoming crew at LPC, he gets along with other cats once they are done giving him the what all.  Wallace is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations and his adoption fee is $35.

From Riverton “Paws for Life” here’s Luna the dog and Jake the cat!

Call Paws for Life at 857-6002 or online at

Luna is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix who is an active and happy girl looking for a fun loving family to spend lots of time with. Luna would do great in a home with children and one that also has other dogs.

Jake is a 5 year old extremely large grey tabby who is laid back and just looking for nice house to relax in and call his own. Jake is currently one of our cats living in the cat colony and he does great with the other cats! He doesn’t have the time to have issues…that would just take too much energy! He loves people and is always eager to say hello to anyone who comes to visit the colony.
