Wet Nosed Wednesday Featured Pets

These local pets are looking for a loving place to call home!

From the Lander Pet Connection let us introduce Charlie the dog and BB the Cat!

Call Lander Pet Connection at 330-5220 or see our website for more information on this program designed to reduce the number of unwanted animals in our area.

Charlie was found all by himself near Ray Lake and although he came with a blue collar no one reported him missing or claim him from the posts trying to find his home.  Trying to get a good picture of Charlie was no easy feat because he was very happy and more interested in checking out LPC than sitting still!  We think Charlie is a lab/hound mix and about one year old.  He is in a foster home and is learning basic manners and how to walk on a leash.  Charlie has been vaccinated and neutered and his adoption fee is $85.  If you are interested in meeting him, please email us at to arrange for an appointment.

BB was found wandering in the Lander Hospital parking lot, where employees were afraid he would get run over. BB stands for Big Boy; this guy is a gorgeous big lump of purring love! We suspect BB came from a family home because his whiskers appeared to have been cut when he came in. BB gets along great with the other cats and is quite happy to be packed around by humans of all ages. We think he is a couple years old. BB was adopted out to a home with dogs who reportedly did not thrill him so he is back at LPC.  We do think he’d be fine with dogs as long as they understood BB was not interested in a deep friendship or constant interaction!  He is up to date in his vaccinations, neutered and has been declawed up front. BB’s adoption fee is $35.

From Riverton “Paws for Life” here’s Luna the dog and Jake the cat!

Call Paws for Life at 857-6002 or online at

Luna is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix who is an active and happy girl looking for a fun loving family to spend lots of time with. Luna would do great in a home with children and one that also has other dogs.

Jake is a 5 year old extremely large grey tabby who is laid back and just looking for nice house to relax in and call his own. Jake is currently one of our cats living in the cat colony and he does great with the other cats! He doesn’t have the time to have issues…that would just take too much energy! He loves people and is always eager to say hello to anyone who comes to visit the colony.
