(Lander) – At its meeting this week, the Fremont County Commission accepted a low bid of just over two million dollars for asphalt overlay project on Eight Mile Road.

The low bid was submitted by HK Contractors, Incorporated.

Commissioners also approved spending a little more than $287,000 for engineering services associated with the Tunnel Hill Road realignment project near Pavillion and just over $307,000 dollars for the North Second Street realignment project near Lander.

The commission approved a contract worth almost $78,000 for the design of snow fences in the South Pass area.

Except for Eight Mile Road, the projects are being funded through the one-percent sales tax.
