(Riverton) – Minor flooding continues along the Wind River from Dubois to areas downstream of Riverton.

The National Weather Service Office in Riverton predicts cooler afternoon temperatures through the weekend which may slow mountain snowmelt but rain showers are also forecasted along the upper Wind River Basin through the weekend.

The Wind River at Riverton is forecasted to crest near ten feet today through Saturday morning.

Minor flooding occurs at the nine-foot stage while moderate flooding begins at eleven feet and major flooding happens when the river reaches twelve feet.
