Flood Warning Remains In Effect

Submitted by rebecca on June 2, 2014 – 12:19 pmNo Comment

(Riverton) – A flood warning remains in effect for the Wind River in the Riverton and Dubois areas until tomorrow morning.

The National Weather Service office in Riverton says cooler afternoon mountain temperatures yesterday and today should slow the amount of snowmelt runoff in the Wind River Basin so the river’s flow should recede over the next several days.

The Wind River is currently flowing at around five feet around Dubois and at about nine feet around Riverton so some minor flooding is occurring.
