Wet Nosed Wednesday Featured Pets

These local pets are looking for a loving place to call home!

From the Lander Pet Connection let us introduce Bear the dog and Spook the Cat!

Call Lander Pet Connection at 330-5220 or see our website  www.landerpets.org for more information on this program designed to reduce the number of unwanted animals in our area.

Guess why Bear is named Bear?!  Yep, he’s big and hairy!  (In all fairness, there is a lot of hair there and Bear does weigh just 65 pounds!)  Luckily, Bear is a super gentle guy that rarely jumps, has learned to sit for a treat, is easy to leash and generally just is a laid back happy dude.  The vet thinks Bear is roughly one year old and we are guessing he’s a Chow/Bernese Mountain Dog mix.  He is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered by LPC as soon as he can get in to a vet; a local adoption prior to this time will be given a voucher to get this done on our tab.  Bear is good with other dogs, great with people and house trained.  His adoption fee is $85.

Spook’s family endured a terrible tragedy and he had to come out to LPC.  Prior to coming to us, Spook got beat up by a neighborhood cat; the wound on his face makes this softie look tough, which he isn’t.  Spook loves the company of humans and very enthusiastically seeks pats.  Spook came from a household with other cats and small children.  Spook would like to be an indoor/outdoor kitty.  He is about a year old, up to date on his vaccinations and neutered.  His adoption fee is $35.

From Riverton “Paws for Life” here’s Lady Bug the dog and Jake the cat

Call Paws for Life at 857-6002 or online at www.pawsriverton.com

Lady bug is a 9 year old Pug and Chihuahua mix. She is a spunky little gal who can’t wait to find a new loving home! Lady bug came to us very overweight but after being on a special diet food she is now a great weight and in wonderful health.

Jake is a large 4 year old grey tabby who gets along great with other cats and loves plenty of attention. This poor guy has been at the shelter far too long, don’t let such a nice boy go without a family another day! You can catch Jake chilling in our cat colony sitting in his favorite spot, the recliner, every day!
